F., Odd Fellows' en campment and Daughters of Kebe kah was held in Odd Fellows' hall Saturday night, a large number of all three allied orders being in at tendance. The ceremonies were opened with an address of welcome by Wade II. Huston, who then, on behalf of the lodge, presented John Luckey, one of its oldest members, with a fine gold-mounted emblematic fountain pen. The response to the address was made by Mrs. C. . McDowell for the Rebekabs. The Work Hore. Work horse should be groomed twice a day. The harness should be removed as soon as the work Is done. Never give food immediately after bard work. The stomach at that time Is In no condition to receive food. The work horse should bare a va riety of food. Upon the clean condition of the skin the health of tbe horse largely de pends. Never put a dirty, rough bit In a boree's month. Don't leave a shoe on a borse more than four weeks. I)o not allow the stable to be too light during tho summer time. Bulk lug Is caused by overloading. tight harness or abuse. Keep the mangers sweet and clean. The best time to clean tbe mud off the horse's legs Is before It gets dry. The farm horse should be a walker, the road horse a trotter. For a borne to masticate four pounds of liny will require over an hour, half an bo'jr for four pounds of whole oats and fifteen minutes for four pounds of ground feed.
